James is a growing composer finishing up his Bachelor of Music degree in Composition at UCF.  While percussion instruments are his principal instruments, he does have experience in other areas.  He is primarily influenced by orchestral film music of the 20th century, but strives to incorporate classical music from the romantic era,  jazz, alternative rock, and electronic music into his works.  Major influences include a wide variety of composers such as John Williams, James Horner, Howard Shore, Thomas Newman, Michael Giacchino, John Powell, Hans Zimmer, and more. James has written for a wide selection of instrumental music from large orchestral, wind band, marching band, and chamber ensembles.  Past scoring experience ranges from adventure, fantasy, drama, suspense, and animation.
